This will be a presentation based on the theme of how individual fire officers could and should be engaged at the various levels of involvement available in the fire service. 

The emphasis in this presentation will be on personal skill sets, attitudes and opportunities to participate in activities of a contemporary fire department and a rapidly changing fire profession. 

Also, included in this presentation is a discussion of policies, processes and procedures associated with professional commitment and the creation of a sphere of influence exercised by individuals, organizations and the profession as a whole.
