EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO RAILROAD INCIDENTS
This program will provide emergency responders with training and reference
documents to properly prepare for an unusual incident involving railroad property or equipment.
We will discuss safety around the railroad, the importance of incident pre-planning, initial response procedures as well as railroad equipment and personnel.
A quiz will accompany the training and CSX will issue a certificate of course completion.
ETHANOL CONSIDERATIONS
For the past several years Ethanol has lead shipment statistics as the largest volume of hazardous material shipped by rail in America.
The volume of ethanol being transported by rail in America surpasses all other hazardous materials by a significant margin.
This presentation will touch on Ethanol from its production standpoint, and then focus on how it is being transported in America.
We will discuss various response scenarios including non-accident emergencies, transportation accident emergencies, assessments, co-mingling of ethanol with water and other products, toxicity considerations, air monitoring, and environmental spill response.
