Learn how to properly evaluate the fire-ground from three perspectives: tactically, thermally, and three dimensionally. Interior firefighting efforts are not abandoned but enhanced through directed streams and using the TIC’s data to insure that firefighters are not only extinguishing the fire, but controlling the dynamics of an ever-changing, fast-paced fire-ground. Topics include: Thermal Imaging Usage, Scene Size-up, Identifying and Owning the Flow Path, Stream placement, and Interior Fire Attack.
Participants will learn application based knowledge in the following skill sets: Tactical 360, Flow Path Identification, Locating The Fire/Predicting its Path, Go/No-Go Tactical Decision Making, controlling the thermal environment, and advanced search techniques.
