2027 SAFRE Call for Presenters

The NCSFA and 2027 SAFRE Committee are pleased to begin taking submissions for the 2027 South Atlantic FIRE RESCUE Expo held in Raleigh, NC Aug. 11-14, 2027. To be considered, all submissions must be made through this online form. The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 20, 2026.

The NCSFA/SAFRE will provide a hotel room for the night after your afternoon class if you must travel more than two hours from Raleigh, NC.
We will provide double occupancy for sessions requiring two instructors with a maximum of one room provided.

Do you charge a fee for this presentation?*

Yes

Fees should include and cover all presenters. Speaker fees cannot be paid before services are rendered. Itemized invoices and required receipts must be submitted to kris@ncsfa.com within 10 calendar days after SAFRE concludes. Payments will be processed after the complete invoice and supporting documentation are received. Late invoices may not be reimbursed.

Do you require accommodations?*

SAFRE may provide one hotel room for eligible presenters who must travel more than two hours to Raleigh. For a morning or full-day session, the room may be provided for the night before the presentation. For an afternoon session, the room may be provided the night after the presentation. A maximum of one room will be provided per session; two presenters will be expected to share a room with two beds unless SAFRE approves another arrangement in advance.

Do you require mileage reimbursement for your travel to SAFRE?*

Yes

Presenters may request reimbursement for either mileage or airfare, up to a maximum of $650. Presenters who drive to SAFRE in Raleigh, North Carolina, will be reimbursed at the current IRS standard mileage rate. To receive reimbursement, the presenter must submit an invoice listing the total number of miles driven. Mileage reimbursement may not exceed $650.

Do you require flight reimbursement for your travel to SAFRE?*

Yes

Presenters may request reimbursement for either mileage or airfare, up to a maximum of $650. Flight reimbursements are provided for presenters who must fly to get to SAFRE, held in Raleigh, NC. Reimbursement for flights will not exceed $650, and requests for reimbursement (submitted in the form of an invoice) must be accompanied by a receipt for the purchase of flights. You may also include transportation to and from the airport on the request for reimbursement invoice.

Laptops*

Presenters are responsible for supplying their own laptops for their presentations. Each room will be provided with a screen and projector to which you can connect your laptop, plus a microphone connected to house sound. *If you will be connecting an Apple (rather than a PC) to the provided projector, please let us know so we can make sure the proper cables are provided.
